Missouri First Steps Program

Missouri First Steps Program is an early intervention system created for families with children from birth through 3 years of age. It is designed for children with disabilities or developmental delays while also assisting families to enhance their child’s life by increasing their development and learning. This provides the opportunity for more meaningful interactions with both the family and their surroundings.

Missouri First Steps Services

Missouri First Steps is a state-wide, state-funded program under the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Center for Human Services manages the Systems Point of Entry (SPOE) for Regions 6 and 9.

Early Childhood Intervention Services

The primary goal of Early Childhood Intervention Services is to ensure that young children are provided with a safe and healthy environment so that they may be successful learners. Center for Human Services provides a screening process and selects the appropriate resources and supports based on each child’s needs.
