Our experts can work with your team to understand your goals, assess your needs, and give you the right support and resources for success. Being inclusive doesn’t mean losing focus on your target audience or making big investments; it is about making informed choices to ensure that when possible, people of all abilities can live life to its fullest with fewer limitations.

Missouri State Fair

Missouri State Fair logoAs the Missouri State Fair’s official accessibility partner, Center for Human Services has enhanced the fair experience with sensory and accessibility resources.

For the 2024 fair, an existing building was transformed into the Sensory and Accessibility Resource Center. The renovated space served as a quiet, climate-controlled area with sensory activities and resources for visitors who experienced overstimulation or sensory overload. Open every day of the fair, the center supported nearly 550 individuals and families.

Additionally, Center for Human Services provided over 350 feet of ground matting in the track area of the fair’s grandstand to improve mobility, an accessible map to guide visitors to key resources and amenities, and sensory carnival hours in collaboration with the fair’s carnival operator.

This partnership reflects both ours and the fair’s commitment to paving the way for accessibility by providing an inclusive and welcoming experience for all. Center for Human Services and the Missouri State Fair team continue to collaborate to provide these services for fair visitors.
