Community Support Services for Disabled Adults
Everyone deserves the opportunity to be actively involved in their community and have access to a supportive social circle. Through this service line, we help individuals overcome socialization limitations in a personalized way and match individuals to programs to achieve individual goals. Some examples include community participation, field trips, cooking lessons, and volunteer opportunities. All activities are scheduled to best fit the needs of the individual and many include safe transportation options.
Community Support Services
Community Support Services can be offered at any time. We strive to create programs and activities that provide the opportunity for individuals to enjoy meaningful days and experiences.
Adult Day Activity Centers
Available in Pettis and Saline counties, our activity centers are day service programs that serve adults with developmental or other disabilities. We offer a variety of both community and center-based activities, as well as opportunities and choices for support, training, social interaction, and community participation.
Social Enrichment
We organize events and opportunities throughout the year for individuals to participate in fun, social activities with their peers and/or with other community members. From dances to sporting events, we plan a little bit of everything. Our staff works with clients to find the right event at the right time based on their interests and schedule.
Community Skills Development
Community Skills Development allows people with disabilities to participate in the community at the same level as non-disabled persons. Not only does this improve overall health and well-being, but it also provides access to public facilities either individually or with a group. Offered in the form of Individual Skill Development (ISD) or Community Integration services.
