About Adult Brain Injury Services

What We Do

Adult Brain Injury (ABI) Services provides two primary support categories: Service Coordination and Rehabilitation Services.

Service Coordination

Service Coordination is provided to all (ABI) participants, regardless of financial status and ensures individuals receive appropriate support while working toward long-term recovery goals.

This includes:

  • Evaluation and assessment of individual needs
  • Education regarding the causes and effects of (TBI)
  • Development of a personalized service plan
  • Assistance in accessing medical care, housing, counseling, transportation, vocational training, and cognitive or behavioral supports
  • Ongoing monitoring and updates to the service plan

Rehabilitation Services

Rehabilitation services are available to eligible participants whose income is at or below 185% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines. Services must be prior authorized and are subject to the availability of annually appropriated funds.

Rehabilitation services are designed to support achievement of long-term goals identified in the individual’s (ABI) Service Plan.

Who Qualifies

To be eligible for (ABI) Services, an individual must:

  • Be a resident of the State of Missouri
  • Be between the ages of 21-65
  • Have a medically diagnosed traumatic brain injury (TBI)
  • Provide proof of lawful presence
  • Have a positive (ABI) screener

For those who qualify, a Service Coordinator meets with you to establish a plan. While our typical hours are from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm Monday – Friday, our Service Coordinators are flexible to meet your scheduling needs.
