Working Towards Independence

Skylar Todd is a young lady from Warsaw that came to CHS Employment Services (ES) seeking assistance in her pursuit of employment.  Skylar met with her Employment Consultant, Josh Olson, and explained that she had always been interested in the food service area but wanted to make sure she could find the “right fit.”  Josh worked with Skylar to find out what specifically she was looking for in an employer. When Skylar saw that Pizza Hut was hiring, she felt that it looked like a great opportunity and was the “right fit” she was seeking.

Skylar interviewed for a Cook position and was hired in April 2021.  Skylar is responsible for all facets of making a great pizza for the customers of the Warsaw area.  When asked about her job, Skylar stated that she loves it at Pizza Hut in large part due to the team she works with.  Skylar said that she feels like she is a member of the Pizza Hut Family.   Skylar’s manager reports that she is “One of the best cooks I’ve seen in a while.”

Skylar works twenty-five hours a week, usually 4:00 – 11:00 p.m.  “This is the first time CHS has partnered with the Warsaw Pizza Hut and we are so appreciative of the working relationship,” states Josh.  “Just two months into her job working with a CHS Job Coach, Skylar was able to work independently, which is the goal of ES.  Congratulations Skylar!
