Early Head Start

Early Head Start is a comprehensive program focused on providing services for income eligible pregnant women and families with infants and/or toddlers. All services at no cost to families are:

  • Supporting families in creating a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for their child
  • Assisting with access to community services
  • Providing information on infant/toddler development
  • A full array of services mandated in the Head Start Performance Standards

Families can participate in program options including center-based childcare within our center or through partnerships with community child care providers, and home-based visits. EHS is federally funded through the Office of Head Start.

Our program options are designed to provide services to infant/toddlers with disabilities and their families. We have participated in specifically designed training offered by the Hilton Foundation called Special Quest to provide quality, inclusive services. The Special Quest web site is www.specialquest.org.
