The Activity Center is a day program which serves adults with developmental or other disabilities. The program offers a wide variety of both Community and Center-based activities and opportunities/choices for support, training, social interaction and community participation to assure a meaningful day and achieve quality outcomes.
Activities/Training include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Crafts
- Social Skills Building
- Recreational and Leisure Skills—developing hobbies, use of leisure time
- Exercise/Fitness
- Nutrition training
- Cooking
- Games
- Community Activities
- Volunteer Activities
- Recreational Swimming (in Pettis County)
- Field trips to Places of Interest
- Hobbies (e.g. Horticulture, Scrapbooking)
- Basic First Aid Skills Training
- Sensory Awareness
- Hygiene/Grooming
- Interest Groups
- Current Events Discussions
- Reading/Discussions
- Meditation/Relaxation
- Movies (Entertainment and Recreational)
- Gross/Fine Motor Skills Activities
