First Steps is Missouri’s Early Intervention system for infants and toddlers, birth to age 3, who have delayed development or diagnosed conditions that are associated with developmental disabilities. First Steps offers coordinated services and assistance to young children with special needs and their families.
The First Steps Goal is to make sure that families have the necessary supports, services, and resources that they need to raise healthy, happy and successful children.
Children’s Therapy Center provides support to families through the First Steps system in 28 counties through Central and East Central Missouri. Through our two First Steps offices we provide Service Coordination to children in First Steps.
Referrals to the First Steps system can be made through calling, faxing or mailing the referral form to the local First Steps office. Contact information for the Region in your area: Click here for a referral form.
